Creative Adminstrator

We are on the last leg of our Towards Transformation Tour 2022-23 and are looking for a creative administrator to join us to keep us moving forward and provide administration support.

Core Responsibilities;

  • Booking our schools and community groups for our schools show The Sun Shines for Everyone. We have pre existing schools already interested and space for new groups to see the show too. This will consist of scheduling in schools and theater venues into the tour dates which are already confirmed.

  • This will also include booking schools and community groups for our Introduction to Anti Racism and Creative Delivery Workshops.

  • Liaising with our freelance staff dates and times for staff training.

  • Managing contracts for creatives on The Sun Shines for Everyone.

  • Assist our Managing Director in sourcing the technical and creative team for The Sun Shines for Everyone.

  • Contacting publishing houses to create opportunities for Author Interviews both virtually via zoom and written content for blogs.

Other Responsibilities

  • Attend workshops where schedule allows if necessary.

  • Deliver resources to workshops (Travel costs covered)

  • Researching and content collation for future projects.

  • Making phone calls

  • Minuting Meetings

Most importantly we want you to be passionate about our charity's purpose and mission, and a love for books is always a plus!

This is an ad hoc freelance position between February 28th until the end of April, and space for more opportunities here at Black Books Matter UK.

60 hours total, £900 (£15ph)

Working roughly 7.5 hours a week, spread over 2 days min.
